The Rt. Hon. Rev. Wilson Galimaka, the Omukirwaku of Obukama Bwa Bunyala and Prime Minister of the Kingdom, has called upon all leaders to put an end to the habit of blaming one another if they are to successfully build and develop their institutions.

Rev. Galimaka made these remarks during the first-ever Cabinet Ministers’ retreat held at Kitatya Secondary School, Kayunga, under the theme “The Role of Ministers in Rebuilding the Kingdom.” The retreat was attended by the Third Prime Minister, ministers, their deputies, and was warmly welcomed by the Head Teacher of Kitatya Senior Secondary School, Katongole Richard, along with the Sub-county Chief of Kitimbwa Sub-county.

In his closing speech, Omukirwaku Galimaka expressed his disappointment over the continuous blame games among ministers during cabinet meetings.
“Whenever we hold cabinet meetings, it is unfortunate that we spend most of the time blaming and pointing fingers at each other. If we really want our kingdom to prosper, this habit must stop,” he emphasized.
He further acknowledged that while misunderstandings are natural among humans, personal conflicts should not be carried into official cabinet discussions.
“I understand that as humans, it is possible for one to harm another, but why should personal conflicts be brought into a cabinet meeting that is meant for discussing progressive ideas? If someone has a dispute with another, they should resolve it privately instead of turning the cabinet into a war zone,” he guided.

The Omukirwaku also urged cabinet ministers to cultivate a sense of self-esteem and responsibility, ensuring that they execute their tasks effectively without needing constant supervision from him.
Retreat Attendees’ Comments
Ssempijja Ntale, the Deputy Minister for Information and Communication in Bunyala Kingdom, who also doubles as the Clan Head of Bushabira, noted that the main source of misunderstandings among ministers has been the issue of one minister encroaching on another’s duties. However, he appreciated the retreat, saying it had helped clarify roles and improve their execution.

Pastor Dan Mukisa, one of the Kingdom Ministers, remarked that the retreat had given them a clearer vision for the future of their kingdom. He extended his gratitude to the organizers for their foresight and dedication.
The retreat served as a crucial platform for fostering unity, accountability, and a shared vision for the progress of Obukama Bwa Bunyala.
