Ndiga Clan Murder Suspect Seeks Release of Co-Accused in Court Hearing
                    Lujja Bbosa

In today’s court appearance, Lujja Bbosa Tabula, the self-confessed key suspect in the murder of Ndiga Clan leader and traditional doctor Daniel Lujja Bbosa, requested the release of four co-accused individuals, asserting their innocence. Tabula, alongside his nephew Noah Lujja, remains in custody while he advocates for the freedom of Harriet Nakiguli (40), Joseph Nakabale (47), Ezra Mayanja (44), and Milly Naluwenda, a 46-year-old clerk from Buganda Kingdom’s traditional court.

During the hearing, Tabula claimed that the four suspects should not be held any longer, emphasizing that only he and his nephew should remain in custody. This request follows assurances given to Naluwenda by Buganda officials who visited her in Luzira prison, suggesting that investigations indicated her innocence.

However, the prosecution, led by Caroline Mpumwire, objected to Tabula’s plea, arguing that the case is set to be committed to the High Court for trial, where a thorough examination of all evidence and testimonies will determine the fates of the accused.

Tabula’s arrest was facilitated by traditional witchdoctor Jajja Jumba, who reportedly created charms that led to Tabula’s surrender after he had been evading authorities. The court proceedings continue to unfold as the legal process moves forward, with significant implications for all involved.
