Kyaggwe Ssekiboobo, Owek. Vincent Matovu, Celebrates 25 Years of Marriage with Dr. Lillian Nalumansi Matovu at a Ceremony at Our Lady of Africa School, Namilyango

Owek. Vincent Matovu, the Chief of Kyaggwe County (Ssekiboobo), celebrated 25 years of marriage with his wife, Dr. Lillian Nalumansi Matovu, at a ceremony held at their school, Our Lady of Africa, Namilyango. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Owek. Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Buganda Kingdom Parliament, who represented Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga.

Nsibirwa praised the couple for their responsible contributions to the community, highlighting their work in leadership positions, building schools and homes, and their overall impact on society.

Nsibirwa commended the couple for their love and unity, which has not only strengthened their family but also positively influenced the wider community, especially through their work in schools. He acknowledged Owek. Matovu’s leadership and stated that it is the reason why the Kabaka had recognized him in various leadership roles, including his recent involvement in the Kyaggwe County football competitions.

Dr. Lillian Matovu was also praised for her strong support of her husband, noting her dedication to their shared work and her listening ear. The couple expressed their commitment to continue nurturing their relationship with love and peace.

Bp. Christopher Kakooza, the Bishop of Lugazi, led the Mass and thanked the couple for their service to the church and their efforts in raising children who contribute to society. The couple also received messages of encouragement from Pope Francis’ representatives, urging them to continue growing in their faith.
