Credible sources from Bulange Hill that houses Buganda Kingdom headquarters have confirmed to this mighty website that the Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga passed an ultimatum banning Ssewungu Joseph Gonzaga, the Kalungu West Legislator from all the kingdom based Media Houses. These include Gambuuze (an online newspaper), 88.8 CBSFM (Radio y’Obujajja), 89.8CBS FM(Emanduso) and BBS Terefayina(Terefayina ey’Obwakabaka)
Ssewungu has been one of the popular panelists on most of the political talk shows hosted on the Kingdom based radio stations. These include Kiriza oba Gaana which occurs every Monday-Friday from 7pm-8pm, Parliament Yaffe which occurs every Saturday 12noon-1pm.Both of these shows are presentered by Meddie Nsereko Sseburiba alias Musajja wa Kabaka. On Bbs Terefayina, Ssewungu has been a regular guest on Amaaso ku Ggwanga hosted by Dustan Busulwa Salongo,Zuukuka n’Ensonga hosted by Moris Mukiibi and airs Monday-Friday from 9:30am-10:00am and Zimba Ensi yo hosted by Kaddu Mukasa Soozi.This airs on Saturday from 10am-12noon.
Besides that, it has been very difficult for a week to pass minus Ssewungu’s voice being heard on CBS FM’s 9am news. The Editors of this news always make sure that the 9:00am news is composed of cream stories because for the past years, stastics from the media analyst have been ranking this news as the most listened to radio news in the country and it is important to note that this news is also listened to by the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi (2).
Since Ssewungu is a teacher by profession, whenever a matter concerning the education sector arose, the Kingdom based Media house Parliamentary Reporters would only take Ssewungu’s bite but now, things have turned upside down to an extent that the Reporters who reported Ssewungu’s eulogy for legislator Muhammad Ssegirinya, narrowly survived to be dismissed from work. From that time the Kingdom based Media house Reporters sagaciously say to each other that “you don’t need to go to Kyambogo to earn yourself a passport that can help you exit from Mmengo,just mentioned the name Ssewungu on air”
Ssewungu is a staunch listener of Kalabalaba which’s presentered by Dr.Sam Kazibwe every Sunday from 10am to 11am.He has been also contributing to the show by sending messages of appreciation or inquiry or emphasis of a point to the presenter but because Katikiro Mayiga’s hatred on Ssewungu is promax, even if he sends over 100 messages to Kazibwe’s cell phone, he can’t risk to read them.
THE CAUSE OF MAYIGA AND SSEWUNGU CONFLICT
A close insider disclosed to this mighty website that the dispute between Katikiro Mayiga and Ssewungu equals to that of children fighting for their inheritance because the Katikiro went further to order that Ssewungu be removed from some of the Kingdom inner circle whatapp groups. Katikiro Mayiga accuses Ssewungu for being among the hypocrites of the Kingdom especially during the fragile time of the Kabaka’s illness.
That Ssewungu like other NUP supporters was not convinced with the way the Katikiro handled the issue of Kabaka’s illness. Although Mayiga held a joint presser of the three branches(amasiga) of governance of the Kingdom i.e Abaami were represented by the Katikiro himself,Abataka were represented by the Speaker of their Council Omutaka Namwama Augustine Mutumba,Abalangira n’Abambejja were represented by Omulangira David Kintu Wasajja(Kabaka’s brother) and confirmed to the world that His Majesty was in Namibia on the instructions of his doctors, Ssewungu and Evans Kanyike MP for Bukoto East, Francis Zaake Butebi MP for Mityana Municipality, LOP Joel Ssenyonyi and another MP kept a deaf hear. They advanced their manyos by joining the Abataka who went to Namibia to storm the hospital from which the Kabaka was being treated
It’s important to remember that since these Bataka’s visit to the Kabaka in Namibia had not been cleared by the Kingdom, when they where about to reach near the hospital, they were rounded up by authorities and its here we based to ask our source that how come Ssewungu and his colleagues were not arrested as well? The source responded that these MPs and the Abataka had earlier plotted to split themselves into two groups, the first group of the Abataka and the most concerned about the matter was to fly in Namibia first, then the second group of Ssewungu and his colleagues was to follow. And should the Abataka have been allowed to see the Kabaka, they were to later on invite these MPs and pose for selfies with the King to solidify their story of having found the Kabaka in exile. This would add fuel in the Twagala Kabaka Campingn that was roaming on social media platforms.
This Insider explained further that news didn’t spread that these MPs were in Namibia because as they were planning to leave the hotel they had booked, they received phone calls from the Bataka warning them not to dare to go to the hospital because they were to be arrested just like them.
The source also accused these MPs for being behind the youths who attacked the Ugandan embassy in Namibia protesting against the arrest of the Bataka by claiming that they had peacefully come to pay a visit to their King.
WAS SSEWUNGU BURNT FROM BBS AND CBS?
When we contacted Ssewungu and asked him why he is no longer hosted by CBS and BBS, he remarked that “I went for a sabbatical year”
Ssewungu’s being burnt from the Kingdom based Media Houses was further confirmed by one of CBS employees who told us that “it’s true that an executive order was passed banning us from airing any story dealing with Ssewungu but this shouldn’t surprise you, if stories of Owek: Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo one of the station Directors can be banned, how about those of Ssewungu?!”

WHAT CBS AND BBS AUTHORITIES SAY
Busuulwa, who doubles as the Chief Operations Officer of BBS Terefayina, told us that he was not aware that Ssewungu was banned from BBS. He termed the story as a baseless allegation.
When we reached out to Abby Mukiibi, the Programmes Manager of CBS, his phone was unavailable.
This means Ssewungu has joined the list of Dr.Kizza Besigye and Robert Kyagulanyi who are obnoxious guests to the Kingdom based Media Houses.
