What this mighty website gathers indicates that JEEMA party headquarters located in Mmengo-Kampala are on fire over a catastrophic war among it’s founding members
The party is now divided into two deadly factions; one that bows to the incumbent President Assuman Basalirwa who’s also the Bugiri Municipality legislator and another that pays allegiance to rebellious Hajji Ssentongo Kyamundu,a giant Kikuubo businessman.
Basalirwa’s faction calls it’self Basiita Ntebbe(we can’t accept to loose power) well as Hajji Kyamundu’s faction who are even the majority call themselves the Progressive Party Members.

KYAMUNDU AND BASALIRWA HAVE BEEN SILENTLY AT DISHARMONY
Our highly placed sources unfolded that Basalirwa and Kyamundu have been silently at disharmony for the past 4 and a half years but on 01,03/2025 when Hajji Mohammed Kateregga,the party’s Secretary General issued a statement that declared the extension of party’s elections for another 3-years,their war erupted than never before.
HOW BASALIRWA HAS PLAYED THEM HIDE AND SEEK ON ELECTIONS
Hajji Kyamundu in an exclusive interview with this mighty website confirmed that he had taken up arms to cast out Basalirwa from the office of Party President because the constitution mandates him only two terms which expired five years ago but he decided to deliberately refuse to organize for a Delegates Conference from which members elect party leaders.

The Delegates Conference was meant to convene in 2020 but due to the emergency of COVID 19 pandemic, they were resolved to extending the party leader’s term for another two and a half years
When this period elapsed, Basalirwa and his power thirst colleagues instead of organizing a Delegates Conference, they instead sat for a NEC meeting from which they passed a resolution to extend their term for another one year.
Hajji Kyamundu emphatically stressed that this NEC meeting was that typical kiwaani that Bobi Wine sung about because out of the 30 NEC members, it was attended by only 8 which means majority of the members didn’t agree on it’s resolution
Secondly: The constitution vests full powers of a term extension in a Delegates Conference not NEC.
Hajji Kyamundu based here to nail Basalirwa that “if you are a lawyer who can’t read and understand the simple English in our Constitution, it’s enough evidence even for the blind to see that your degree might be from Nasser”
As the extended term ended in 04/2024, Basalirwa convened another NEC meeting which passed a resolution to hold elections beginning from the village level up to the Presidency.
When Hajji Kyamundu learnt of this news, he expressed his interest for presidency and went further to make bill boards that were posted at every road that enters Kampala
According to the election Road Map that was drafted by Ibrahim Nsamba,the Election Commission Chairman, the Delegates Conference was to be held in June but due to lack of funds, it was postponed to August and when NEC sat, it pushed elections to 01/2025.

This time round Basalirwa and his power hungry team justified their decision on ground of the urgent need to do some amendments in the constitution. They rushed to appoint Professor Abbas Kiyimba as the chairperson of the Constitutional Review Committee(CRC) which was to traverse the entire country gathering member’s views about the necessary amendments.
When Kyamundu objected this move, power corrupted Basalirwa reacted by reliving him the position of the party spokesperson and went an extra mile to ask Imam Idd Kasozi, the Disciplinary Committee chairperson to determine a heavy punishment for him.

Its this election that Hajji Katerega in his statement emphasized that the NEC had sat on 28,02/2025 and extended for another 3 years which means it’s to happen in 2028 to enable
1) the CRC to get enough time to do it’s work .
2):them to mobilise funds required to organize the Delegates Conference
3)the party to focus very well on the upcoming 2026 general elections

MUSEVENI’S MONEY IS THE CAUSE OF THE DIVISIONS IN JEEMA
Our reliable sources disclosed to this mighty website that Museveni’s money is the root cause of JEEMA divisions just like it was with the FDC.
That whenever Basalirwa or Hajji Katerega are at the wall, they run for President Museveni’s rescue and whenever their direct route to President Museveni is intercepted, their plan B route is always Annitah Annet Among Magogo, the Speaker of Parliament.
PARTY MEMBERS PRESS HAJJI KATEREGA AND BASARILWA.
The party members have many times pressed Basalirwa and Hajji Katerega to explain where their relationship with President Museveni begins and ends and some of the rhetoric questions they have been posing include;
1)Hajji Katerega, President Museveni endorsed you for EALA MP elections. If you’re not in bed with Museveni, what were you going to offer him in return of that favor?
2)Hajji Katerega sneaked into the 2021 IPOD meeting which NEC had agreed not to participate in, what forced you to go against the party’s decision?
3)In that IPOD meeting, President Museveni gave each Secretary General 50 million, a car and a mobilization bus for their parties.UPC and DP acknowledged to have received those items, where are JEEMA’s?
4)Basalirwa,you led your entire family to Speaker Among’s residence and even held a special duwa for her, where does your relationship with Among a renowned opposition broker to the state begin and end?
5)Hajji Kibirige Mayanja,the Party’s Chairman once said that JEEMA is in good relationship with the NRM.His statement was heavily supported by Richard Twodwong,NRM’s Secretary General who stressed that JEEMA was among the parties they were to soon sign with a memorandum of understanding. Was our party sold to Mr. Museveni long ago?
KYAMUNDU’S NEXT MOVE
When Hajji Kyamundu swore that he wasn’t going to accept JEEMA sink at his watch, we were prompted to ask him what his next move could be.
In response he said he had two options;
1)To drag Basalirwa and his power hungry team into courts of law such that they can be forced to organize for a Delegates Conference
2)To mobilise party members and storm the party headquarters to topple Basalirwa’s self imposed leadership.
