The District Chairperson of Mukono, Hon. Rev. Dr. Peter Bakaluba Mukasa, has led a team of councilors and government officials on a four-day benchmarking visit to Gulu City. The visit aims to study how Gulu has successfully developed and maintained its road infrastructure, with a focus on adopting similar strategies to improve key roads in Mukono District.
During the visit, the delegation is paying special attention to the planning, construction, and maintenance of major roads. Their goal is to gather practical solutions that can be applied to improve Ntenjeru-Bbuule road and Nakayaga-Kayanja road and Kigombya Namuyenje -Seeta Nazigo which are vital routes for local communities.
Hon. Bakaluba emphasized that the visit is part of the district’s commitment to enhancing service delivery and improving infrastructure. “We want to learn from the successes of Gulu City and use these insights to address the road challenges in Mukono. Roads like Ntenjeru to Bbuule and Nakayaga to Kayanja are critical for our people, and we are determined to ensure they are upgraded,” he said.
