Mukono Former District Governor Andrew Ssenyonga has called on Ugandans to embrace a spirit of generosity and support local development initiatives, highlighting the importance of seizing opportunities to contribute to community progress.
Speaking during the Speech Day at Lee Valley Junior School, where students showcased talents through music, sports, and other activities, Ssenyonga emphasized the need for parents to elect leaders focused on advancing their communities rather than those driven by self-interest.
Councilor Allan Mawanda, Speaker of Mukono Central Division, commended the school’s founders for prioritizing education and aiding government efforts in the sector.
Ord. Kaddu Derrick Mbojjana, a school board member, applauded teachers for their dedication and urged parents to recognize the critical role teachers play in shaping their children’s futures.
School founder Trude Ndagire Gitta thanked parents for their support and encouraged them to stay committed to their educational responsibilities, emphasizing that her focus is on serving the community through nurturing young minds, rather than personal financial gain.
