To have Nyanzi as our legislator,we rather re-elect our going for nothing Kazibwe” Angry Electorates oppose Kyagulanyi’s decision to front his elder brother for Kawempe South seat.

When you arrive in Kawempe South Constituency now, you might think that the Election Day is tomorrow because of the intense competition among candidates aspiring to unseat Hajji Kazibwe Bashir Mbazira whom they describe as “the walking corpse”

Interestingly, most of the  aspirants scrambling for this seat are mainly from NUP and in their pursuit for votes, each one assures electorates  that party’s President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu endorsed him already but who do the voters want?

It’s at this background we conducted a thorough investigation on every aspirant to find out his strength, weaknesses and what electorates think about him.

NYANZI FRED SSENTAMU:Is the elder brother of Principle Kyagulanyi, the party’s Secretary for Mobilization and the real person they want to award the ticket.

Electorates say that  if Principal Kyagulanyi in the spirit of washing away their sorrow caused by Kazibwe, decides to front  his brother Nyanzi, they have no problem with it but what bothers them is that Nyanzi has no their constituency at heart because he desires to run for Lord Mayorship.

Electorates are thus afraid that Nyanzi may agree to be their legislator just for the sake not wholeheartedly because he was asked to represent people he did not want.

Electorates also noted that Nyanzi’s name always sounded a lot in all the scandals at the party headquarters especially those related to corruption and conflicts among leaders for example they hear that Nyanzi was involved in selling of Party tickets to weak candidates like Aloysius Mukasa, Rubaga North legislator in the previous elections and Nyanzi was the main cause of the conflicts between the Headquarters and Masaka party leaders.

Electorates told us further that they hear rumors that Muhammad Nsereko will not run again for MP Kampala Central Division, he wants Hajjati Minsa Kabanda, Minister of Kampala to succeed him but when they sat on a drawing table, they realized that if Nyanzi returns to contest against Kabanda, she will not win the seat yet their also many chances of President Museveni to drop her from cabinet.
They thus called Nyanzi and gave him some reasonable money in order for him not to contest. That it’s this money Nyanzi used to construct his new flat in Kamwokya and to pay off the debts that he incurred during elections.

This is where electorates stand to oppose a person of Nyanzi’s caliber to be their MP. In fact one of them was prompted to remark that to have Nyanzi in parliament, we rather re-elect our good for nothing, Kazibwe”

ALEX WAISWA MUFUMBIRO: Is the party’s Deputy Spokesperson.

Electorates on Mufumbiro banged the table saying that although we are very loyal to Principal Kyagulanyi, we can’t just watch him make our constituency look like a public toilet that is accessed by everyone.

They explained that they hear that Mufumbiro has run for Jinja West MP seat twice and failed thus “where do you get the assurance that by Mufumbiro contesting in our constituency where he doesn’t even rent, he will win?!

NAJJA SHERIFF: Is Principal Kyagulanyi’s Private Secretary.

Electorates told us if Sheriff went to Makerere University, he must have graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in pride.

That when he visits Ghettos and shabby people enter  his car, when they leave, he sprayed doom on the seats kill all the possible germs they might have left behind.

Electorates concluded by saying despite the fact that they are staunch NUP supporters, they can’t elect someone who is not down to earth like Najja

MUHAMMED NSUBUGA:

Electorates disclosed to us that Nsubuga is Makerere LC3 Councilor but he has done totally nothing for the people during his tenure.

They added that recently got information that Nsubuga sealed a big deal with General Salim Saleh, President Museveni’s younger brother from  which he earned money which he uses to print  billboards that he has decorated all over the constituency.

ROY SSEMBOGA: On him, electorates said that they hear the name but they have never seen him in person. They thus asked him to get serious and move out of the “Kamooli.”

CHARLES LUBOWA: Is a native Kawempe South occupant because he resides in Wandegeya Katale zone and he comes from the family of Leonard Lubowa who was Deputy Lord Mayor and left a strong legacy in leadership

Electorates told us that Kawempe South’s major problem has been the leaders who come for kyeyo in their constituency. Such leaders upon entering parliament, they forget about them which has made their constituency lag behind when it comes to development that’s why they are now advocating for a native person to represent them.

EMMANUEL SSERUNJOGI: Is the current Kawempe Division Mayor.

Electorates told us that Mayor Sserunjogi spends most of his time drinking himself stupid. When he hears that something is a mess somewhere, he rushes there such that the Media can capture him acting to fight for them..

They concluded that they cant entrust to parliament someone who is drunk by 8am because he can easily be to tricked to vote in favor of a motion yet in actual sense he would have objected.
