Dorothy Kisaka, the outgoing Executive Director of the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), has officially handed over the office to Frank Rusa, who will serve as the Acting Executive Director. The handover ceremony took place at the KCCA headquarters in the presence of Kampala Minister Hajjat Minsa Kabanda and other dignitaries.
The event marked a significant transition in KCCA leadership as Kisaka, who has been at the helm of the city authority, steps down, allowing Rusa to assume leadership on an interim basis. Minister Kabanda commended Kisaka for her service and expressed confidence in Rusa’s ability to lead KCCA in the coming months.
Kisaka, known for her efforts in modernizing Kampala’s urban management and improving service delivery during her tenure, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve. She extended her best wishes to her successor, emphasizing the need for continued development and service to the residents of Kampala.
Frank Rusa, a seasoned administrator, takes on this role with the mandate to guide KCCA in ensuring smooth operations and continued progress on the city’s development projects. The leadership transition is expected to strengthen the authority’s efforts in addressing the challenges faced by the capital city.
Minister Kabanda reassured stakeholders of the government’s support for the new leadership as they work to enhance infrastructure, streamline services, and improve the lives of Kampala’s residents.
