Tensions are running high at Kampala’s City Abattoir, where new Market Master Hadijja Natte and Treasurer Bonny Katumba seem locked in a heated conflict over allegations of corruption, betrayal, and a rumored romance gone wrong. After suspending Katumba on suspicion of embezzling funds, Natte sparked a bitter dispute. Katumba, in turn, claimed Natte teamed up with other leaders to oust him unfairly and accused her of sabotaging him after ending their alleged love affair.
Now, the abattoir is divided, with traders and staff picking sides, and both Natte and Katumba are standing firm. Will this escalating feud push them toward a resolution—or even greater conflict?

City Abattior is the country main abattior located in Kampala on Port-Bell road.On a daily 350-400 cattles,3000 sheep and goats are slaughterred everyday.

As the Holy Book has it that “he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword,” in that way that Katumba has vowed to do everything under the sun to revenge to Natte for throwing him out of the office like a used condom even if it will necessitate him to bewitch her to go insane.
WHO IS NATTE?
In mid-October,Frank Rusa Nyakana the acting Director of KCCA introduced Natte to the traders in the City Abattoir as their new Market Master.
Natte’s track record shows that she has been always deployed in markets that are sunk to the roots with management conflicts yet ceasing them seems impossible but to their surprise,Natte has always managed to cool the storm thus earning her nickname of the fixer.
In markets of Nakasero,Wandegeya and Bugolobi where Natte formerly served,she’s talked about as a calm uncorruptible resolute woman.
HOW THE SAGER BEGAN
Days after Natte’s appointment,the hot Market Master chair began to burn her bums when Umeme and NWSC sent her letters threatening to cut off the supply of water and electricity respectively.These utilities are very essential in the daily operations of the abattoir because cattle is slaughtered between 2am to 4am which means slaughterhouse workers need sufficient electricity to do their work effectively.In the same way water is urgently needed for washing off blood from the slaughterred cattle, cleansing of intestines and for waste conveying because should blood of the slaughterred cattle be left to dry from the slaughter house,it causes a foul smell.
In their strong letters, NWSC explained that the abattior had a bad debt of 159 but had agreed to not to cut off the water on ground that the abattior pays 2.5 millions of water used per day as it finds means to pay off the old debt but to their surprise,the abattior had decided to bleached the agreement by defaulting of 2.4 millions for a week.
UMEME also explain that the abattior was heavily indebted by 100 plus millions but had agreed not to chop of power on ground that the abattior pays off common user facility charges of shs 200’000 per day as it looks for means to pay off the old debt but to their dismay,the abattior had defaulted 2.2 millions in the recent two weeks.
In confusion Natte called for an urgent meeting of the abattiors’ Executive committe of the abattoir to discuss how best they can combat the water and electricity matter.
They resolved to stop unnecessary expenditures and called Katumba the treasurer to lay his books of account which where filled with so many linking gaps for example Katumba first submitted that he had 10 million on his account but it was later on found out that account was totally empty yet he couldn’t properly account for the expenditures.The situation hit worse when Katumba couldn’t offer a convincing reason why he had defaulted the agreed daily water and electricity bills.
It’s at this juncture Natte resolved that Katumba steps aside and be subjected to a thorough investigation and the meeting closed.
On 06,10 Natte convened another meeting executive committee seal off the itching matter of electricity and water debts.In the course of the meeting Katumba stood up and begged to submit a matter of urgency.When permission was granted he remarked that he had discovered the people that where swindling the abattior’s money.He went further to explain that on a normal day,the abattior slaughters 400-350 cattle on tax of charges of 15000 per cow or bull but investigated and found out tax charges of shs 600’000 that are equivalent 40 cattle were on a daily basis unaccounted for.He concluded by accusing the Chairman John Bosco Kiddu and Hajjati Aisha Nalubega the Information in charge for being behind this plot.
After this meeting almost fell apart as the accused almost wanted to struggle Katumba.When the house was called to order,Natte ruled that her order that Katumba be subjected to investigation stay and also suspended her from attending meetings and the meeting closed.
KATUMBA DISAGREES WITH HIS DISMISSAL
Eversince that day Katumba has refused to accept his dismissal from office on a basis that he wasn’t given enough time to defend himself.Katumba adds that this was saw because the Chairman Kiddu and his pros had made a new collaboration with Natte in which they negotiated how they were going to share the extorted abattior trader’s revenue.
Katumba further more stressed that because he had declined to be part of the looting,Natte ganged with Kiddu to blackmail him thus kicking him out of office.
Katumba concluded that since Natte decided to cease fire with fire,he’s also going to answer with fire and the bad is most likely to get to worst

DID NATTE AND KATUMBA HAVE AFFAIR?
Our other close sources revealed to this mighty website that in the major cause of Natte and Katumba conflict was a love affair that went sower.

As we speak now,the Natte-Katumba’s conflict has reached in the abottoir traders.Those that trade in skins and hides and cattle slaughterers are in support of Natte while the Kanabes are in support of Katumba.Both Natte and Katumba share support from the kiosk traders.
Supporters of from each group are ever chopping their noise in the other’s affairs and anytime from now, instead of slaughtering cattle,these traders are most likely to slaughter themselves.
KIDDU’S DEFENCE
When we approached Chair Kiddu,he said that despite the fact that our brother Katumba was subjected to investigation,he can’t have his way back to office because according to the new market law,the administration of the abattior is in the hands of government that’s represented by Market Masters.These work in hand with market departmental leaders of which I am but Katumba isn’t.
I therefore urge my brother to stop his uncalled for guerrilla war.
NALUBEGA’S DEFENSE
When we approached Nalubega,she remarked that my office was weekly accorded 100’000 for facilitation.It wasn’t enough but I never complained.I can actually account for every penny I received because even in that last month marked closure of our tenure, I was never accredited with facilition but I never complained.
She concluded by saying that it’s absurd that my friend that turned into a brother is the one spraying such malice and slander against me.
WHAT NATTE SAYS
Though Natte accepted accepted that she heard the rumor that she had an affair with Katumba,she denied it.

When we reached out to the State Minister for Kampala Kabuye Kyofatogambye he remarked that government is now in full controll of all it’s markets and abbatoirs and government is being represented by Market Masters.So for anyone for whatever reason to intimidate our representatives is extremely unlawfull.I therefore guide that Katumba should stop his stupid guerrilla war for he may not like the consequences.
