Banyala people are encouraged to carry portraits of the Ssaabanyala and certificates at functions and in public offices as part of an ongoing effort to support the kingdom’s activities and promote cultural pride within Kayunga District.
The Bunyala Kingdom has launched a new initiative to encourage the people of Kayunga to purchase portraits of the Ssaabanyala, along with certificates, in a bid to support the kingdom’s ongoing activities. This campaign was kicked off in Mbulakati, Kitimbwa Sub-county, Kayunga District, during an introduction ceremony at the home of Mr. Guwedeko Moses of Mulanda.
Speaking about the initiative, Kaddu Derrick Mbojjana, spokesperson for the Bunyala Kingdom, explained that this is part of a larger effort to instill pride in Bunyala culture, heritage, and traditions among the people. The goal is to raise awareness of their customs and garner support for the development activities carried out by the Bunyala Kingdom.
Mbojjana further encouraged everyone organizing ceremonies to proudly display portraits of the Ssaabanyala and certificates in their offices. He also urged that the Bunyala anthem be sung at various gatherings throughout Kayunga District, as a way to promote unity and cultural pride among the people.
This initiative not only seeks to preserve the kingdom’s traditions but also strengthens the sense of community and loyalty to the leadership.
